Progress not saving

What to do if your scores, vocabulary, or study progress disappears or fails to record.

Your scores and study progress may not save if the game session ended before data was submitted, or if you lost your connection.

Overview

This affects teachers and students who complete a game or study session but do not see their results saved afterward.

Cause

Roxxem saves progress both locally in your browser and to the server at the end of a session. If you close the browser or lose your connection before a session finishes, that session's data may not be recorded.

Steps

  1. Make sure you complete a game or study session fully and wait for the results screen before closing the page.
  1. Check your internet connection. Progress is submitted to the server when a session ends — a dropped connection can prevent this.
  1. Avoid refreshing the page in the middle of a session.
  1. If your progress disappeared after clearing your browser's cache or cookies, note that some local data is stored in the browser and may be removed when you clear storage.
  1. Log out and log back in. This can prompt the app to re-sync your data from the server.
